Twitter is now testing out new e-commerce features on its site. The social network company confirmed to TechCrunch on March 4 that it was looking for new ways to display tweets that link out to external shopping pages.
Matt Navarra, a social media consultant, tweeted screenshots of what the new feature looks like:

The new e-commerce feature includes all the necessary information for a successful purchase, such as the product name, the shop name, the price of the product and a large “Shop” icon. Qatar-based tech journalist Yasser Masood said in a tweet that the features currently only show up on Android devices.

According to TechCrunch, the company “started to explore ways to better support commerce on Twitter,” said Twitter Revenue Lead Bruce Falck at a company event in late February.
Twitter has also introduced a new paid subscription feature called Super Follow, in hopes to create exclusive paid-for content for its users.
